Boil it down!

2016-02-17-#WritingTipWednesday
Boil the main message of your book (or any piece of writing, really) down to one concise sentence. If you can’t do that, you probably need to get clearer. Then make sure all the rest of the writing supports this main message. Simple, right? But many writers get this wrong. They go off on tangents and make points that, while important and interesting, do nothing to support the main premise of the piece. This will lead to confusion and you may lose your audience before they get the message. Make it clear so the reader can “hear.” ‪#‎WritingTipWednesday‬
